KAWADS
The Kawad, of Hindu origin, also called Traveling Temple, is a hand carried multi-door shrine used to tell stories of gods, local heroes and family histories. These works, inspired by this anciety format, speak to aspects of contemporary life. Each Kawad is resin cast and averages 6" high--and when opened fully, 14" wide.
