Each work is crafted from synthetic polymer resin, offering a contemporary interpretation of natural resin, historically a highly prized substance used for art production and religious rites. I am drawn to progressive narratives, and my work has physical formats that unfold, open or visually expand into deeper levels of narrative.
Below are images that illustrate the process of creating resin shapes:
making forms /shapes from clay to be put in containers to make molds
pouring a liquid rubber compound over the shapes in to the container to make molds
after the molds are made and the clay removed, pouring liquid resin into the molds to create multiple shapes
